2017 Tournament Travel Schedule
(Jr. Boys Team)
Below is the tentative tournament schedule for the 2017 Florida Elite Jr. Boys team. It should be noted that the NCAA has instituted new procedures this year and at this time no tournament has been certified. We are waiting for the NCAA to release their schedule before making final schedule, as some tournaments may not meet NCAA criteria and be certified.
In looking at our schedule it is important that you understand the philosophy of Florida Elite. We believe in only playing in tournaments where our players can maximize the opportunities to be seen by college coaches or scouting services and media that can be helpful to them obtaining a scholarship to play at the next level. We do not believe in playing in useless tournaments where players could sustain an injury or over extend themselves with the number of games they play. Our preference is that players use the off live period times to develop greater skills and become better players through training. We will only play in one tournament that is not an NCAA Certified event, attended by college coaches. We will play in all five live period (NCAA certified) events and the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions. The reason for Bob Gibbons is all major scouting services are in attendance as well as major media services. Because of our reputation, our players will be seen by all scouting services including ESPN and will be closely followed by HoopSeen, the most trusted source for news, recruiting and rankings in prep basketball along with Bob Gibbons. Playing this schedule, we will play between 32 – 36 games (a complete college schedule). When you consider the amount of games these young men will also play with their high school teams….we believe that this is enough. We are much more concerned with quality than quantity.
We will also promote our players that qualify and want to participate in individual skill or exposure camps. We have had throughout our history tremendous success in getting our players into these elite camps.
Please feel free to contact Conrad Foss @ (813) 355-7061 if you have any questions.
