Alumni of Showcase and Unsigned Senior Teams
Four years ago Florida Elite developed their first unsigned senior team. We saw a need, as many college level players were not being recruited or identified. To select a team we developed the unsigned senior showcases. In the last four years over 50 % of players participating in the Unsigned Senior Showcases have gone on to play at the college level. Out of the 39 players that have played as unsigned seniors, 37 received offers to play college basketball. Below are a few of the players that participated in either our showcases or unsigned senior teams.
Marc Gosselin, from Lyon, France played high school at West Oaks in Orlando. Playing for the first Florida Elite Unsigned Senior team he received offer from Western Carolina and will finish his career there this year. He has been a four-year starter for the Catamounts. Prior to playing for Florida Elite and committing to this Division I program, Marc had no offers from any colleges at any level.
Damerit Brown, played at Ocoee High School before playing on the Florida Elite Unsigned Senior team. Damerit credits Florida Elite for the exposure that gave him the opportunity to play at the college level. He is a Junior at Flagler College where he started all 26 games last year and averaged 15.5 points per game.
Andre Williams, from Boyd Anderson High School, Fort Lauderdale played on the Florida Elite Unsigned Senior team and received offer from Thiel College where he currently plays. He is one of six players at this Pennsylvania school from the state of Florida. Tim Loomis, coach at Thiel is in constant contact with the Florida Elite staff and is a frequent visitor to their events and practices.
Nick Toledo, played at Wellington High School and while at the Unsigned Senior Showcase was offered by Webber International. He is a Freshman this year and already a contributor to the team.
Jonathan Horodyski, played at Buchholz High School in Gainesville prior to participating on Florida Elite Unsigned Senior team. Is currently playing for Queens University in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Bershard Edwards, played at Lehigh High School and is currently playing at LaGrange College. Last year Bershard participated in our Unsigned Senior Showcase and was selected to participate on our Unsigned Senior team but prior to playing he accepted the offer at LaGrange. He is playing double digit minutes for the Panthers this year and off to a great start.
